Just when the weather started to get the coldest the EMW 10U Boys Travel
Team was playing games in the new Sports Performance Park. They started the
season off indoors with an 8 game schedule which included both a batting cage
game and a game on the infield turf. The boys played some stiff competition from
Mel-Ott, Mathewson McCarthy, Lancaster and South Cheektowaga Stampede to
name a few. The EMW boys did a strong job in the batting cages! Especially
considering that they have not been playing for over 4 months. Where the team
really shined was in the field where they were 7-2-1! They played incredible and
really put on a show for both the parents and the other teams. I received multiple
compliments from the other team’s coaches as well as the staff that ran the facility.
The coaches were really proud of the team dedication.
From here until the end of April the EMW boy’s 10U team will be in the cages
as well as doing infield ground work at Sahlen’s Sports Park in Elma. They team
has already started to gel and with the added indoor practices looks to be a force
to be reckoned with in the Clarence Summer league. Listed below is the entire
team as well as coaching staff. We will be posting are schedule by the end of
April. Please come out and support this wonderful group of kids!
