TIME: 12 noon til 2 both days
PLACE: CREEK ROAD TOWN PARK MAJOR BOYS FIELD
Equipment required: GLOVE (bat and helmet are optional)
PLEASE DRESS APPROPRIATELY FOR THE TRYOUT (NO JEANS, Cleats preferred)
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
· Boys 12 Year Old or Under
· Boys must be 12 Years old on 4/30/2011:
TRYOUT EXPECTATIONS:
Boys trying out for this team are expected to know/display the following skills and have a strong
desire to play in this program:
· Proper hitting, fielding, catching & throwing techniques
· Positive attitude, team player
· Knowledge of the game
12U TRAVEL TEAM OBLIGATIONS:
This team will be playing in the 2011 Clarence Travel League.
· The selected travel team players must be committed to an off season practice schedule,
which may include winter league and/or clinics
· The 12U Travel Team will play in two (or more) tournaments (typically scheduled in July)
· Fundraising may be required to assist with additional team expenses such as winter
leagues, batting cage time, etc
Player specific skills or training sessions will be the obligation of parent/player and will not come
from the general funds of the team.
Costs Charged by League for 12U Travel:
* Resident also playing House (only JV & Varsity exempt from House)-$55 for House
& $100 for Travel.
* Non-House Player District (i.e. JV Player)-$150 w/$50* going back into League.
* Non-EMW District (i.e. Lancaster resident)-$250 w/$50* going back into League.
*$50 that goes back to the League is to cover insurance since all Travel Players are now
covered by EMW Blanket Insurance Policy. So each team does not have to pay a
separate insurance fee to their respective travel league.
Additional funds, fundraising or sponsors money may be needed for clinics, tournaments,
batting cages time, etc.
