The Little League Challenger Division® was founded in 1989, and is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges.  

Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate. If an individual can participate in the traditional Little League Baseball or Softball program with reasonable accommodations, they should do so. The Little League Challenger Division (our Dream League Division) accommodates players ages 5 to 18; or up to age 21 (18 - 21 will need to be approved by the Dream League Coordinator). In the Dream League, every player bats every inning, batters swing until they get a hit (with or without assistance), players are safe on the bases, there are no outs and every player scores a run each inning. Safety balls are used and the ball is pitched by an adult coach or hit off a tee. Players are assisted by “buddies” who provide encouragement and assistance as needed.
